the smart set

Author: Sudipto Sanyal

Sudipto Sanyal has outlived his youthfulness teaching English literature at a university in Kolkata, a city he adores and abhors in equal measure. His work has appeared in, among others, The Economist's 1843, The Mekong Review, PopMatters, and The Hindu. He has stayed sane during the pandemic thanks to Radio Quarantine Kolkata, where he hosts a pirate radio show called Songs of Comfort for Hypochondriacs and Panicking Lovers.
