Tim Campbell has had a 40-year career on poverty in cities around the world that led to three professional books and numerous articles on cities. Now he's drawing on that background for short stories, five of which were recently accepted at online journals. He's also shopping a memoir of fatherhood (Holding Up the Sky). He was a finalist in the nonfiction competition at the 2019 San Francisco Writers Conference and shortlisted in nonfiction at the 2020 Word Periscope, London. He holds a doctorate in urban studies and planning from MIT and a master’s in city planning and a bachelor’s in political science from U. C. Berkeley.
