Beri Balistreri is a medical social worker in home health and hospice, living on the windswept Monterey Peninsula of California’s central coast. Her MSW is from the University of Southern California. She has a creative MA from San Francisco State. Her non-fiction is in several online journals, and she is the proud recipient of a Golden Pineapple Award for a travel essay and the Peter Hixson Award for two short stories. Her suspense fiction is soon to appear serialized on Vella. One of her three novels emerged as a semi-finalist in the 2020 Pitch Wars, and another received over 12K votes in a 30-day scouting competition. Writing is her favorite way to spend time.
